Homello started from a frustration that anyone who has bought a house will recognise. You spend weeks scrolling listings that all describe themselves in the same four numbers. You finally like one, and then the real work begins — in six different places at once.
The lender is on email. The agent texts. The inspector sends a PDF. Three contractors quote three slightly different jobs. And somewhere in a thirty-page agreement, written in day-counts rather than dates, is a financing deadline that will cost you your earnest money if you miss it.
None of that is hard, exactly. It's just scattered — and being the person who holds it all together is a job nobody signed up for. Homello does that job instead: one place where the search, the money, the people and the calendar all know about each other.
Square footage is easy to publish, so that's what every site publishes. But nobody chooses a home because of a number — they choose it because of the commute, the school, and whether the kitchen works on a Sunday. We build for that.
A purchase touches an agent, a lender, an inspector, contractors and a title company. Traditionally each lives in its own app and email chain, and the buyer becomes the integration layer. We'd rather do that job ourselves.
When we extract a date from a contract, we show the clause it came from and the page number. When we score a lifestyle fit, we show the drive times behind it. Confidence should be earned, not asserted.
Every professional's licence is checked against a state registry before the badge appears. A directory nobody verifies is just a phone book with better typography.
Buyers and renters pay nothing. They're already spending the largest sum of their lives — charging them for a search box is not a business we want.
The places you save to your lifestyle map — your kids' school, your gym — are yours. Not shared with agents, not sold to advertisers, not part of anyone's targeting model.
